 Crash fixes 
#1 Game Crashes after the Display of Rebellion Logo 
To fix this issue in the game, follow these steps to fix the issue: 

Find the folder in C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sniper elite v2\ on your PC. 
Now, find the file named “binkw32.dll” and paste it to the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sniper elite v2\bin\ 
Run the game again and the game should not crash after the logo this time. 

#2 Laptop and Dual Graphics Card Problem – Game Crashes 
Sometimes, if you have a built-in low-end graphics card in your PC, then the game may load up using it instead of your external powerful gfx. 

It won’t properly, and you may face crashes at different times. To fix the issue, you need to make sure that the game is being loaded on the right graphics card. You can do it by following these steps: 

Open the control panel for your graphics card. 
Check under 3D settings, and make sure your best graphics chipset is set as the preferred chipset if there is an option available 

#3 Can’t Launch the Game – Graphics Set too High 
There can be a chance that you set the graphics settings to be ultra high and as a result, your game got crashed without giving you any crash message, and you can’t launch the game again. 

In such a situation, you should head to %LOCALAPPDATA%\SniperV2 folder in the drive where your operating system is installed and delete the “Settings.ini” file from there. This will restore the settings to default, and you will be able to launch the game again. 

#4 Sniper Elite V2 – Mouse Acceleration Issue 
The problem was faced by some users in the Demo but the devs after taking notice of the issue have fixed it in the complete game. Let us know if you are still facing the issue in the comments below. 

#5 Sniper Elite V2 – Graphics and Stuttering Issues 
The problem is most probably related to the drivers of your gfx. Nvidia owners seem to have the issue more than the AMD card users. 

In any case, changing your drivers from beta to full release (it may be old but stable) can solve the issue. Make sure that you are not running extra programs/services in the background. 

#6 Steam error – The game is now unavailable 
You may face this error due to the delay in the scheduled release of the game. The developers have taken issue into account, and the problem may be fixed soon. Re-installation or verifying game cache may work out for you. 

#7 Not Optimum Mode ‘Recommended Mode’ Error 
This error is associated with the conflict between screen’s resolution and the in-game resolution. Try to run the game in windowed mode by pressing Alt+Enter. 

Also try to change this: 
C:\Users\MY_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\SniperV2\Setti ngs.ini and changing Resolution_Width & Resolution_Height inside (replacing MY_USER_NAME by you account name) 

#8 Sniper Elite V2 – Black Screen Fix 
Change your screen resolution to 1024*768 and see if the black screen goes away. Furthermore, try lowering some of the graphics settings in the game. 

#9 Failed to initialize D3D11 
You should start with the obvious that is making sure that your gfx drivers are up-to-date. Or you can try the following solutions: 

Go to the partition where your Windows is installed (usually C then go to Users > (your name) > AppData > Local > SniperV2 and delete the “Settings” file. Once you have deleted the file, try launching the game again. 
If this does not work for you, in the same folder, open the “Settings” file and change the option: ComputeShader = 1 to ComputeShader = 0. Save the changes and start the game again. 

#10 Sniper Elite V2 – Zoom In/Out Problem 
This problem is not very common but if you, somehow, happen to face it, try changing the controls in the game settings. You can also try the alternate zooming method (there is an option on the menu which is un-assigned by default.) to solve the problem. 

#11 Sniper Elite V2 – Crashes When Using Scope 
You can try the work around mentioned in #10, and if it does not help, turning off Antialiasing, Anisotropic filtering and Motion blur may solve the issue for you.
